North American Hummingbird Collection

Image of North American Hummingbird Collection

This is the new Nature Series that FCO is starting. It will feature a patch representing each of the North American Hummingbird Species. Some of these species are very rare in North America and can be briefly seen in areas of the southwest. We feel that each of these Hummers, along with their beautiful names should be represented. At this time, I have plans to do approximately 22 species and have consulted some individuals that have the experience and have helped me quite a bit in my efforts to accurately portray these beautiful birds. At first, I had anticipated a full out release of all patches in 2017, but a great deal of time has been invested in research, and designing these patches and I believe they will be slowly released over the next couple years. In all, they will be limited to 50 patches of each species. So these are limited, and will be rare in the community of Hummer fans. We hope that these will be well received.

The Buff-Bellied hummingbird patch features the common name and species name along with the year it was produced. This hummingbird frequents Texas mostly. It can be found all along the Gulf coast of the U.S. from Texas to Florida.

The White-Eared Hummingbird patch features the common name and species name along with the year it was produced. It features a Merrow border and excellent colors that highlight and match the design. This Hummer can be sighted in Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico. designed and made in the USA.

The Berylline or Amazilia Beryllina Hummingbird comes in some extremely vivid colors that allow the design to contrast nicely with the colors of this Hummer. Beautiful and rare...this hummingbird can be sighted, like many other, in Arizona! This patch, along with some of these birds are born and bred in the USA.

This features the common name and species name along with the year it was produced. They feature a Merrowed border and with the help of my wife, the colors are chosen to highlight the Hummingbirds. The Xantus Hummingbird is often sighted in Baja California. And it is here...that our Hummingbird patch series begins. Made in the U.S.A.

The Green Breasted Mango patch features the common name and species name along with the year it was produced. It features a Merrow border and excellent colors that highlight and match the design, thank you to my wife once again! This hummer looks like it is taking off straight out of the patch. It is the 2nd in our series. The Green Breasted Mango is often seen in Texas and rarely outside of that range. There have been several other official sightings in three other states, including, as far north as, Wisconsin. That is a true rarity. This patch is designed by FCO and Made in the USA.

The Broad-Billed Hummingbird is a medium sized hummingbird that frequents, you guessed it...Arizona, but it can also be found in Texas, New Mexico, and some others have been sighted in California, Louisiana, and Florida. We tried to make a highly details the Broad-billed as it would appear in flight, with colors that allow it to stand out proudly from the base. Made in the USA by FCO.

NEW OPTION: Purchase the entire collection of 20 patch series for $120. As we complete each new design, we will automatically send you a new patch. This collection will most likely consist of 22 patch designs in the end. But you pay $120 now, and get them all. We were initially aiming to get the entire batch done in 2017 but at this time, we're spending a great deal of time to get the details correct and we anticipate the project will spill over to 2018 (at which time the date will change). So when a new North American Hummingbird Nature Series patch is coming out, you'll get an email and we will auto ship.
